How does the service work?

What kind of equipment is required for using toolani?
None – except for your phone. toolani customers can choose their own dial-in numbers for each phone, no matter if landline or cell phone!
Why are calls cheaper with toolani?
toolani offers international calls at low-cost rates. You merely need to provide the desired phone numbers in the customer area and you will receive a corresponding domestic landline number respectively. When dialing those, you will automatically be connected to the other party abroad. You can save the toolani-number in your phone. (further information about the product range)
How can I top up my credit balance?
Your credit balance can be topped up in your profile under menu item “top up Account”. You can load your credit balance with PayPal with your credit card or with an existing PayPal account via direct debit.
How can I pay with credit card?
We accept payment by credit card via PayPal. A PayPal account is not required for making a payment. When opting for this payment method, your data will be captured by the PayPal system and payment will be initiated.
Why do I have to register for service?
So we can activate your cell phone number in our system and you can manage your toolani speed dial numbers. The only thing we need from you is your e-mail address and phone number, and off you go!
How long will my connection data be saved at toolani?
We save all connection data for 6 months, in accordance with the telecommuncation regulations. You can definately access relevant information anytime during this timeframe – after this such data will be deleted according to the regulations.
Billing
What advantages does toolani offer?
With toolani your can make international calls from your country with savings of up to 90%. The exact savings depend on your cell phone and/or landline plan (rate) and the cost of international calls through your service provider.
Rates and costs
Do I have to pay my cell phone service provider as well?
Our dial-in numbers are landline numbers. When calling this number from your cell phone, it will be billed at your rate – unless you have a free minute value pack with your service provider, in which case the call will be billed to your free minutes. Only your service provider can tell you the exact costs.
Which increments does toolani use?
All calls through toolani will be billed to-the-minute.
Why are fees so cheap and why does calling with the toolani number cost only a fraction of the usual rates?
toolani purchases telephone minutes worldwide in large amounts and can therefor offer significantly lower rates. Also we require only low profit margins as we work with an efficient, lean team. We are therefor able to offer you the opportunity to low-cost calling and all that while using your own cell phone.
Troubleshooting
When calling the dial-in number I am not being connected with my destination.
Make sure you have activated the call display so our system can recognise your calling numbers and connect you with the desired destination.
I have used up all five dial-in numbers with numbers and names and would like to add more dial-in’s. Is that possible?
